Mr Muhindo Ngene, The chairperson of the Judiciary HIV/Aids Committee

Karamoja. The Judiciary through its committee on HIV/AIDS organized a one day workshop for both judicial and non-judicial officers in Karamoja sub-region.  The workshop took place at Mt Moroto Hotel targeted staff in the districts of Abim,Kotido, Nakapiripirit and Moroto.

In his opening remarks, the chairperson of the Judiciary HIV/Aids Committee, Mr Muhindo Ngene, said the workshop is meant to create and fight stigma of the HIV/AIDS. He reassured the staff present that the Judiciary cares about the welfare of its staff. 

Mr.Tom Etii, a facilitator from Uganda Aids Commission, commended the Judiciary Management for the positive stance on stigma. Other facilitators at the workshop are Dr. Stephen Watiti, a doctor and counselor living with HIV/AIDS and Mr Moses Nsubuga aka Supercharger, an entertainer and motivational speaker living positively.

Since the year began, the Judiciary has held two HIV/Aids sensitization campaigns in Masaka and Karamoja.
